Dallas Outdoor Kitchens for Year Round Outdoor Entertainment
If you live in Texas then you are familiar with the tradition of outdoor cooking, grilling, entertaining and enjoying the beautiful year round weather.  However, many people have dramatically upgraded from the portable gas, charcoal or wood grill and barbecue to beautifully designed outdoor living spaces that offer a significant extension to the living space of the home.  Dallas outdoor kitchens offer so much more than just a place to cook and eat, they include landscaped areas, specialized lighting and the latest in outdoor cooking appliances and designs.

Throughout the city and surrounding areas, Dallas outdoor kitchen spaces are taking on a very upscale appearance.  It starts with wonderful options for flooring ranging from natural stone to beautiful and very durable wooden flooring options.  Choosing the right type of floor depends on your overall design as well as the landscaping in the rest of the yard area.  Natural stone looks cool and elegant with stone fireplaces and even waterfalls and is perfect for leading out to a pool, Jacuzzi or entertainment area.  Wooden flooring is great for those western or southwestern styles and also is terrific bordered by landscaped areas and tiered patios for relaxing and gathering.

The shape of the kitchen area is an important consideration.  There is no need to stick with the traditional square or rectangular kitchen area, rather having the shape flow with the landscaping adds to the overall beauty of the design.  Curving, circular or unique shapes can allow you to easily have several different areas within your outdoor kitchen, perfect for all different types of activities and entertaining.  They can also be designed to enhance the space of your pool deck or backyard area, really adding to the esthetics of the home.

Of course in Dallas outdoor kitchens the key element is going to be the actual food preparation along with having additional living space for getting together to enjoy a wonderful meal.  Building in open grill barbecues that are easy to maintain and keep in top shape is important.  Stainless steel grills that are traditional charcoal or wood as well as newer gas or propane models can be built right into the design in any size needed for your entertainment requirements.  Stoves and ovens are another option to really outfit your outdoor kitchen with all the comforts of the indoor option.  Smaller areas for fireplaces to keep warm on cooler nights are both practical and romantic and can be incorporated into the design.

Sink and food preparation surfaces, running hot and cold water as well as storage areas for cooking supplies can also be built into the outdoor kitchen.  Stainless steel options offer easy cleaning and maintenance, however other materials such as tile, natural stone or even marble are equally durable for cupboards and outdoor storage cabinet surfaces.  Blending the storage into the design of the kitchen will make it look natural and hospitable and also make it much easier on the cook when entertaining and hosting gatherings for family and friends.  Since the weather is so temperate, Dallas outdoor kitchens are far more practical for year round use, allowing homeowners to really be able to enjoy the space.

Last but certainly not least are the finishing touches you can add to your Dallas outdoor kitchen.  Lovely and durable ornate iron patio furniture, benches and tables are a great idea, but so are wooden and canvas chairs and loungers.  Traditional wooden tables are a great idea and are easy to move around and group depending on your entertaining needs.  Adding finishing touches such as ceiling lighting, fans and even sound systems to your outdoor kitchen will truly make it a part of your home to enjoy for years to come.
